WHO WE ARE

Welcome to Mirror!

Mirror was founded in 1972 on the belief that people can and do change.

Our mission is to strengthen people and communities by helping individuals cultivate hope and redefine their lives.

We’re a not-for-profit, private corporation providing behavioral health care, prevention programs, and residential reentry services. As a major provider in Kansas, we offer a continuum of behavioral health care as well as treatment for co-occurring mental health disorders.

Although we are known as one of the largest behavioral health providers in Kansas, we also offer a comprehensive continuum of services and programs for people and communities looking for help. We are committed to empowering people to be the best version of themselves and promoting safe, healthy people in strong communities.

Treatment Programs

As a leader in the delivery of behavioral health, Mirror provides a variety of treatment programs, from assessments to residential treatment, in many different communities. We also provide services for dually-diagnosed mental health problems. Additionally, Mirror provides services for adolescents in many of our locations, including an adolescent residential program in Wichita, Kansas.

Prevention Services

Our award-winning team of prevention professionals help communities build successful strategies to reduce youth substance use and promote mental health. Mirror works collaboratively within Kansas communities to build capacity of local coalition groups, key leaders, grassroots citizens, and youth to address substance use prevention issues and associated youth problem behaviors. STAND, Mirror’s respected youth prevention model, has empowered hundreds of youth to make healthy decisions while impacting their community and school in a positive way.

Residential Reentry Services

Mirror is a state-wide leader in assisting communities in rehabilitating its citizens who transition from prison back to community life. Our residential reentry center in Topeka provides a safe, effective environment for federal inmates to return to their communities—to become productive employees, parents and citizens.

Work for Success Services

This unique program is housed in Douglas and Shawnee Counties, Kansas to serve unemployed and underemployed parents and individuals, as well as at-risk youth. Programs are designed to establish family stability, grow self-sufficiency and find employment.
