CADCA Youth 2021

Mirror, Inc’s STAND youth peer leaders had the opportunity to attend CADCA’s annual Mid-Year Institute this week, virtually. Joining youth across the nation in learning about prevention work. Youth are an essential part of the coalition building process. They bring critical insight to what they are facing each day in their communities.

During the training youth participants were introduced to prevention and coalition work as they walked through the Strategic Prevention Framework. Teens were encouraged to think critically about their roles as leaders in social change. Youth finished the course with substance use and misuse prevention tools including a Logic Model, Community Assessment, Interventions, an Action Plan, and a new energy to go out and make a difference!
